The Unhurried Alternative

One of the most common concerns among the clients I work with is not having enough time. Bogged down by demanding jobs, a steady stream of social engagements, and compulsory family commitments, many report having few opportunities to relax. This can result in sleep deprivation, poor exercise and eating habits, strained relationships, feelings of depression, exhaustion, and high levels of anxiety and stress.

I traveled to Seattle for the first time seven years ago, my love affair with the city having begun well before then. I could blame Nora Ephron and her 1993 classic, Sleepless in Seattle, for making me fall head over heels in love with a place I knew only from its romanticized on-screen portrayal, or my affinity for moody weather.
