Affirm 29

When we become invisible to ourselves we are most clearly seen by others.

Emily’s Affirmations

Today I was seen, in all my wholeness and all my incompletion; not as segmented parts to be assembled but as human: heart, soul, mind, body.

It’s a gift to be witnessed, to have your reflection slowly traced by someone who knows your shadows and your light; your silhouette and your 360; your pastels and your brights and every palette in between.

When was the last time you felt this way? How did you experience it viscerally? What emotions arose for you?

Whether it was by a friend, a colleague, or perhaps the kind stranger who served you coffee this morning, take a moment to let this person know how much it meant to simply be seen.
